MarkScheme provides:

• AI-powered marking of Economics practice answers
• Assessment Objective (AO) breakdown and feedback
• Comparison against official Edexcel mark schemes
• Educational feedback for exam preparation

Our service is intended for practice and educational purposes only. It does not replace official examination marking or teacher feedback.

4. User Registration and Account

To use certain features of MarkScheme, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use MarkScheme only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Upload content that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Submit live examination papers or secure assessment materials
• Use the service to cheat on actual examinations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality of MarkScheme, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and AI models, are owned by MarkScheme.co and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without permission
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Frame or mirror any part of the service without authorization

The MarkScheme name and logo are trademarks of MarkScheme.co.

7. User Content

When you upload answers or other content to MarkScheme:

• You retain ownership of your content
• You grant us a license to process, store, and analyze your content to provide our services
• You represent that you have the right to upload the content
• We analyze your submissions to identify patterns and improve our service accuracy and edge case handling, but do not train machine learning models on your data

8. Payment and Credits

MarkScheme operates on a credit-based system:

• Credits can be purchased through our payment processors
• Each marking consumes a specified number of credits
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased
• Credits do not expire but may be subject to account inactivity policies
• Pricing is subject to change with notice to existing users

9. No Refund Policy

All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Once credits are purchased, they cannot be refunded, exchanged, or transferred. Please ensure you understand our service before making a purchase.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

MarkScheme is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results will be accurate or reliable in all cases
• Any errors or defects will be corrected

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time

11. Limitation of Liability

• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Content you upload to the service

13. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• Your use causes harm to the service or other users

• We discontinue the service

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits.

14. Third-Party Services

15. Disclaimer Regarding Exam Boards

MarkScheme is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Edexcel, Pearson, Cambridge Assessment, or any other examination board. We are an independent educational tool. Our service uses publicly available mark schemes for educational purposes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

17. Changes to Terms
